CISD College & Career Day of Testing
Once per semester, Cleburne High School students in grades 10-12 have the opportunity to engage in at least one college & career readiness assessment.
Tenth grade students are eligible to take the PSAT/NMSQT, a college readiness assessment directly aligned to the SAT college entrance exam.
In a student's third year of high school, they have the opportunity to take the PSAT/NMSQT to qualify for the National Merit Scholarship, a highly competitive and prestigious recognition tied to multiple college scholarship opportunities.
Beginning in the Spring of their junior year, students have the opportunity to take the SAT and ACT School Day tests once a semester. Spots for the SAT and ACT School Day examinations are limited, and the ordering deadline is several weeks before the examination. Please monitor Parent Square for information regarding registration or contact your counselor for more information.
Students in grades ten through twelve who take the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) will have the opportunity to measure their skills in areas such as mechanical comprehension & spatial reasoning, and other academic and technical areas of study. When students receive their ASVAB scores, they also receive a booklet of information about career and military skill strengths based on their results.
