• Help guide CTE programs by serving on our Advisory Committee. Share industry insights, advise on curriculum, and ensure programs align with workforce needs.

Overview: Committee composition (business, labor, community agencies, faculty, students).

Purpose: Advise and promote CTE program development; collaborate with educators and administration.

Meetings: Fall meeting (November); Spring meeting held with CTE Showcase.

Expectations: Provide input on curriculum, assessments/credentials, facilities/equipment standards.

• Host students for a one-day, hands-on experience. Let them explore careers, observe workplace culture, and learn directly from professionals.

• Support Career & Technical Student Organizations by judging competitions, mentoring students, or serving as a guest speaker.

• Provide extended work experiences for students to apply classroom knowledge in real industry settings. Options include semester placements and summer internships.

• Give teachers short-term industry experiences so they can bring current workplace practices back into the classroom.
